Farm house remodel in the mountains

This living room is part of a remodel of a former farm. The existing floor was removed to create a high-ceiling living room as the central space of the house. Since the house is getting a new roof, exterior insulation was chosen to reveal the roof structure, giving the house a traditional look. The interior design blends natural materials with mid-century modern furniture by George Nakashima.
